Established in Chicago in 2008, Moneythink is a recognised 501(c3) nonprofit organisation whose aim is to "Inspire younger generations to make informed immediate and long term financial decisions and build financial wellness habits through empathy, mentorship, education, coaching, and practical and emotional support."

The Moneythink USC chapter was established in 2011 at USC to form a community of students who were passionate about making financial literacy and college prep more accessible. We aim to serve our local community with student centric lesson plans and root our work in humility and purpose. We understand that higher education and finances are some of the biggest factors in influencing social mobility and we want to make that achievable and realistic for students in under-resourced and underserved areas.

Through our own new-mentor workshops, new mentors are able to learn about our purpose and learn how to create a safe space in the classroom. We continuously evaluate our internal operations and lesson plans to maintain our culture of growth. Being one of the first student organizations to join the First Generation Student Assembly under USC Undergraduate Student Government, we strive to provide resources to our own USC FGCS and First Generation Professional student communities.
